However, the events in this book do fall in the interlude between Peaks Saga Book 3 and Book 4. Ginna Parker, Lauren’s daughter, is one of the main characters in all The Peaks Saga books. Annemarie Parker’s story is found in Books 4 & 5.

About the Author | M.F. Erler
M.F. (Mary Frances) Erler is a music teacher, outdoor educator, and author of fantasy fiction and non-fiction. Her teaching career has spanned over 30 years, and she has been writing most of her life. Her first Christian-based science-fiction book, “The Peaks at the Edge of the World” was re-written and revised in 2017, followed by six other books in the series.
Erler has been writing most of her life. In fact, some of the characters in The Peaks Saga were initially conceived in her youth. Her lifelong goal has been to bring spiritual ideas into fantasy-fiction, in the spirit of writers like J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. She enjoys public speaking and sharing her faith journey. She is an approved speaker for Women’s Connections, a Stonecroft Ministry.
Now that she has published The Peaks Saga, she is embarking on a new venture in fiction, first with “Voices in the Past”, a historical fiction, and now “Lauren’s Dark Passage”, which is contemporary fiction.
Along with fantasy, true science, and science fiction, she is also a student of history, comparative religion, ecology, and music. Previous publications include non-fiction articles in Today’s Christian Parent, and Social Studies and the Young Learner. In addition, she has produced Music in God’s World, a music curriculum for Christian preschools, and Christian Environmental Education Curricula for use in schools and camp settings.
Erler’s hobbies include reading, singing, and playing several musical instruments. She and her husband have two adult children. All make their home in the Pacific Northwest.
